Ranger Creek OPA Bombers Hit Stores

Just to be clear, these are not airplanes piloted by the older guys at Wurstfest with all the pins on their hats. No, these are big ol’ bottles of Ranger Creek’s Oatmeal Pale Ale

In an email blast today, Ranger Creek announced the release. The 750 ml bottles are full of their malty-yet-quite-hoppy brew (dare I call it a flagship beer?) and are bottle-conditioned. The RC guys say to pour carefully to avoid disturbing the yeast. All bottles are hand-labeled with batch number and fill date. Come on, the big breweries would never do that for you!

Ranger Creek Oatmeal Pale Ale was also just named one of San Antonio’s “best year-round beers” in a great article by San Antonio Express-News beer columnist Eric Braun.

And, in a nod to the recent court decision in Authentic Beverages vs. TABC, the email had a list of stores that will be carrying the OPA:
